US S13 and S14 240SX Rear Suspension Members: 2WS, Super HICAS, Production and Condition Identification
US/LHD Nissan 240SX only: 1989-1993 S13 Coupe/Fastback, 1992-1994 S13 Convertible and 1995-1998 S14 Coupe. Resolve recipient and donor VIN/build, S13 versus S14, S13 factory 2WS versus Super HICAS/4WS, transmission and production/trim branch, ABS and surrounding differential/brake/sensor equipment, and the exact installed member identity. The checked US S14 catalog did not expose a Super HICAS branch. Exclude imported Silvia/180SX/200SX, RHD, S15, R32/Z32 assumptions, fabricated or tubular drift members, cross-generation conversions, cut/welded pieces and structural-repair claims.
WHERE TO BUY
Open an exact listing, then confirm fitment, stock, price, and shipping with the seller before ordering.
Seller links checked . Prices and availability can change.
Begin with recipient and donor 17-character VINs, production dates, body/generation, factory steering equipment and actual-piece photographs. On S13, prove 2WS versus Super HICAS/4WS and verify the toe-link/HICAS actuator interfaces. On S14, prove production, STD/SE and transmission catalog branch even though a seller may group all 1995-1998 cars together. Match the four body-mount positions and bushings; differential nose and rear-cover mounting; lower-arm, upper-link and toe-link pickups; stabilizer brackets; shock/spring and exhaust clearances; stays; sensor and parking-brake routing; and every threaded hole. ABS may change loaded differential, axle, sensor, harness and brake contents even where the checked whole-member listing is not separately ABS-coded. Require a written bare-versus-loaded inventory. Reject deformation, shifted pickups, cracked welds, torn or elongated holes, serious scale or perforation, collision marks, heat, filler, grinding, non-factory welds, straightening, reinforcement or coating that conceals condition. S13 and S14 geometry, mounting spacing, lower-arm/toe-link interfaces, differential mounting and exhaust brackets differ; do not treat cross-generation installation as routine interchange. Inspect and measure the recipient body mounts separately using qualified collision/alignment equipment. Follow the exact factory procedure with rated lifting/support equipment, required hardware replacement and final four-wheel alignment. This guide provides no pull, weld or structural-repair instructions.
OEM numbers
CHECKED WHOLE-MEMBER IDENTITIES, NOT ONE INTERCHANGEABLE FAMILY. S13 Super HICAS/4WS catalog branches: 55400-50F00 and 55400-50F01. S13 2WS branches: 55400-52F00, 55400-52F01 and 55400-52F05legacy 55400-35F13 and 55400-40F00 feed the 55400-52F05 service path. S14 branches include 55400-68F00 and 55400-68F15 for the checked early AT/MT selections, later STD identity 55400-68F01, early SE identity 55400-68F10, later SE identity 55400-68F12 and service identity 55400-85F00. S13/S14, 2WS/HICAS, transmission, production and STD/SE branches remain separate until exact VIN/EPC and installed-mark verification. Differential, rear cover, arms/links, knuckles, hubs, axles, sway bar, brakes, parking-brake equipment, ABS sensors/harnesses, bushings, stays and fasteners are separately identified contents unless itemized.Supersession
Checked whole-member service links are 55400-50F00 -> 55400-50F01; 55400-52F00 -> 55400-52F01; 55400-35F13 and 55400-40F00 -> 55400-52F05; 55400-68F01 -> 55400-68F00; and 55400-68F10 -> 55400-85F00. The catalog reports MultiSupersession for 55400-68F12, so no single undocumented successor is asserted. No chain is asserted for 55400-68F15. These service links do not establish S13/S14, 2WS/HICAS, transmission, trim or imported-market interchange.

Aftermarket options
A correctly identified, straight and unmodified factory member is the accepted restoration path. SCH-0021 retains insert-versus-full bushing choices, and SCH-0045 retains differential/rear-cover selection. Solid, polyurethane or conversion bushings, cross-generation conversions, fabricated/tubular members, relocated pickups and reinforced drift parts change geometry, noise/vibration, fatigue, crash and road-use assumptions; they are not OEM supersessions or proof that a bent, cracked or corroded member is reusable.
Before you buy
US/LHD 240SX only: 1989-1993 S13 Coupe/Fastback, 1992-1994 Convertible and 1995-1998 S14 Coupe. Confirm both VINs/builds, S13 versus S14, 2WS versus Super HICAS, transmission/trim/production branch, ABS-related loaded contents and exact member identity. Itemize every differential, arm, link, hub, brake, sway, sensor and hardware component. Reject cracks, deformation, torn mounts, severe corrosion, heat, welds, straightening or hidden repairs. Cross-generation conversion is not routine interchange. Require actual-piece photographs, qualified geometry inspection, safe lifting and final alignment. No structural-repair instruction is provided.
