US 240SX S13/S14 KYB OE-Replacement Struts, Rear Dampers and Front Mounts

US-market 1989-1994 S13 Nissan 240SX without Super HICAS/4WS for the complete front-and-rear KYB set, and 1995-1998 S14 Nissan 240SX. Imported 180SX/Silvia/200SX applications, HICAS rear fitment, coilovers, lowering springs, adjustable suspension and mixed-chassis swaps are excluded.

What you need to know

Choose chassis and steering system first. The reviewed KYB table lists S13 front 234051/234052 for both 2WS and HICAS, but rear 341099 only for non-HICAS; this page therefore limits the complete S13 set to non-HICAS/2WS. The S14 set is 334184 RH, 334185 LH and 341222 rear for US 1995-1998 240SX. Front struts are side-specific; rear dampers and paired service parts normally require quantity two. Match VIN/build, body, steering system, installed tags, spring markings and mount contents. Inspect mounts/bearings, bump stops, boots and isolators; replace dampers by axle pair. Loaded front springs require an appropriate compressor and procedure. Obtain an alignment after front-strut work or any ride-height change.

OEM numbers

KYB Excel-G OE-replacement-style applications: S13 front RH 234051 and front LH 234052complete S13 set uses rear 341099 only on non-HICAS/2WS cars. S14 front RH 334184, front LH 334185, and rear 341222. Nissan front-mount catalog paths are S13 54320-35F00 and S14 54320-65F00both were discontinued when checked. Front mount numbers do not identify rear mounts. OEM springs remain VIN, option and installed-mark specific and are not published as universal orderable SKUs.

Supersession

No Nissan damper, mount or spring supersession is claimed. KYB 234051/234052/341099 and 334184/334185/341222 are aftermarket application numbers, not Nissan supersessions. S13 54320-35F00 and S14 54320-65F00 are separate discontinued front-mount branches; no interchange between them is asserted.

The checked buyable path is KYB Excel-G OE-replacement-style damping with side-specific fronts and chassis-specific rears. Nissan diagrams show spring branches by steering system, convertible/body, production and other equipment, so springs remain VIN/option/installed-mark inspection items rather than a universal SKU recommendation. Coilovers, lowering springs, adjustable dampers and NISMO tuned/JDM service components are separate modification paths and are not represented as US factory replacement evidence.

Before you buy

The complete S13 set is limited to US 1989-1994 non-HICAS/2WS cars because KYB 341099 is the reviewed non-HICAS rear application; the front 234051/234052 pair is not itself described as 2WS-only. S14 coverage is US 1995-1998 240SX. Match side, chassis, steering system, VIN/build, installed tags, spring markings and mount contents. Springs are not published as universal SKUs. Imports, HICAS rear, coilovers, lowering springs and adjustable suspension are excluded. Use safe spring-compressor practice, replace dampers in axle pairs and align after front-strut or ride-height work. Seller inventory and prices are dated observations.
