Privacy Policy
Supersede is designed to minimize collection, but a real website and authenticated dealership service still process technical, account, and usage data. This policy describes the current Consumer and Pro design and will be updated whenever vendors or practices change.
Last updated July 23, 2026. Applies to the Supersede Consumer site.
Who is responsible
The site operator is Michael G. Price, operating Supersede. Privacy requests, including Nevada privacy requests, may be sent to michael@supersedepro.com.
Data the site is designed to process
- Hosting and security logs may contain an IP address, user agent, time, requested path, response status, and security signals.
- Consumer measurement stores aggregate page paths, search type, a result-count range, and whether a search returned zero results. Supersede does not store the entered search term or selected vehicle details in the Consumer analytics database.
- Seller-link events contain only the guide row ID, stable seller-link ID, merchant, link position, and whether the link was monetized.
- Supersede Pro processes invited-user account details and dealership workflow records needed to provide the authenticated Parts service. Access is limited by organization and, where applicable, rooftop.
- The Pro Help Center processes the reporter's bounded support description and in-site replies, fixed problem and workflow choices, and privacy-minimized technical details such as a controlled screen or action code, an opaque error reference, coarse browser and device information, viewport range, connection state, and recent fixed interaction codes. It is not designed to collect raw URLs or queries, form values, VINs, purchase orders, prices, customer information, passwords, supplier credentials, session tokens, screenshots, files, keystrokes, DOM captures, or session replay.
- The private owner control room processes organization and rooftop names, the Help Center case content and safe technical details described above, and privacy-minimized account-health, connection, inventory-freshness, work-queue, and ROI-evidence counts. It is not designed to display passwords, session tokens, supplier credentials, raw inventory files, VINs, purchase-order references, dealer-entered dollar values, or unrestricted dealership records.
- Messages sent for corrections or privacy requests contain the information the sender chooses to provide.
Purposes and vendors
Technical and account data is used to deliver and secure the site, authenticate invited Pro users, isolate dealership records, answer Help Center cases, diagnose reported failures, measure page use, measure whether searches work, review zero-result rates, measure outbound seller selections, and respond to requests. Consumer measurement is stored in Supersede's first-party database on the same hosting platform; it does not use an advertising analytics provider or set an analytics cookie. Hosting and edge access controls are provided through OpenAI Sites, and business email is provided through Google Workspace. When you choose a commission-eligible eBay link, Supersede checks that exact listing with eBay and sends a stable link reference so eBay can attribute a qualifying purchase.
Cookies and browser storage
Supersede Pro sets essential, secure authentication and workspace-preference cookies. The Help Center may keep up to 12 fixed, value-free interaction codes in session storage for no more than 24 hours so a signed-in user can choose to include them with a support case; the buffer is cleared after submission or sign-out. It does not store form values or a session replay. The private owner control room uses the same first-party authentication service with a separate platform-operator allowlist and mandatory authenticator verification. These cookies and temporary codes are used for access control and service operation, not advertising or cross-site profiling. eBay may use its own cookies or similar technology after you choose a commission-eligible eBay link; eBay's privacy notice and choices apply on eBay.
Retention
Aggregate Consumer measurement is retained for up to 13 months. Consumer eBay health-run summaries are retained for up to 90 days. Hosting, authentication, and security logs are retained according to the relevant provider and account settings. Help Center descriptions, replies, and diagnostic details are retained while a case is active and scheduled for removal by routine Help Center maintenance after 90 days closed or 180 days without activity. Content-free case status and access or operator-action audit records may be retained for up to one year after that removal. Other Pro account and dealership-workflow records are retained only as long as reasonably needed to provide and secure the service, preserve accurate operational history, resolve support matters, and meet applicable obligations. Business messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain an accurate correction record, secure the service, and meet applicable obligations. Supersede will update this policy before activating any analytics or affiliate provider with a different retention practice.
Disclosure, sale, and cross-site tracking
The current build can include eBay seller links identified with “We may earn a commission.” Supersede may earn from qualifying purchases, but it does not receive your eBay account, payment-card, or order details through the click-through link. No cross-site advertising is configured on Supersede. Service providers may process data for hosting, security, measurement, communications, or approved affiliate attribution once deliberately configured. If Supersede later engages in activity legally treated as selling or sharing covered data, or activates cross-site tracking, this policy and the required opt-out method will be updated before activation.
Your choices
You may follow seller or research links directly without Supersede and request access, correction, or deletion where applicable. Consumer measurement is aggregate, first-party, and does not use an analytics cookie or store entered search terms. Nevada consumers may submit a verified request concerning covered information through michael@supersedepro.com. Supersede will authenticate and respond as required by applicable law.
Security and changes
No online system is perfectly secure. Supersede will use proportionate safeguards and will revise this policy when its operator, domain, vendors, data practices, or legal obligations change.
