1989-1998 Nissan 240SX S13/S14 Radiator Core Supports: Whole Assembly, Production Splits and Structural Boundaries

US/LHD 1989-1994 Nissan 240SX S13 Coupe/Fastback/Convertible as cataloged and 1995-1998 Nissan 240SX S14 factory radiator/core-support assemblies and separately cataloged upper, lower, RH-side and LH-side sections only. Resolve both VINs/build dates, S13 versus S14, the S13 07/1990 component branch, the S14 07/1996 whole/side-support branch, exact identity, body dimensions and attachment condition. Exclude imported Silvia/180SX/200SX, RHD assumptions, nose conversions, cut front clips, aprons/hood ledges/frame rails, suspension crossmembers, bumper reinforcements, fascia/lamps, radiator/fans/condenser and unmeasured collision structures.

What you need to know

Begin with both 17-character VINs/build dates, US/LHD S13 or S14 body, exact production month and the installed complete/upper/lower/RH/LH identity. The S13 upper-support catalog changes at 07/1990; the S14 whole and side supports change at 07/1996. Do not use zenki, kouki or Silvia conversion shorthand as fitment proof. Itemize whether a listing is a bare complete support, a single section or a cut front clip, and whether it includes hood latch/brackets, lamp/fascia mounts, radiator/condenser/fan mounts, air guides, wiring, fasteners or adjacent apron/rail material; none is presumed. Preserve SCH-0052/SCH-0054 fascia and bumper-reinforcement ownership and SCH-0062 suspension-crossmember ownership. Require actual-piece photos, straightness/body measurements, attachment-flange and weld evidence, corrosion/fire/flood history, prior repair disclosure, packaging, freight-damage terms and returns. Reject bent or stretched pickup points, torn/cracked spot-weld flanges, severe corrosion, hidden filler, prior pulling/sectioning, improvised brackets and an unmeasured donor cut. Nissan body-repair material is intended for skilled collision technicians with proper tools and includes core-support replacement operations. This public guide gives no drill, cut, weld, heat, pull, section or alignment procedure. Use a qualified collision-repair professional, current body dimensions and repair information, corrosion protection and final hood/latch/lamp/fender/cooling-system alignment and leak/road acceptance.

Fitment

Aftermarket options

Humble Engineering displayed a $225 made-to-order lower support intended for modified swap/tube-front use; it is not a complete OEM support, factory supersession or proof of structural equivalence. Vega displayed an S14 Series 2 support path with contradictory Sold out and 9 in stock language, so availability is unreliable and its market wording does not prove US fitment. Z1's exact late-S14 OEM path was unavailable. Imported/JDM, conversion and cut-front-clip listings require exact recipient geometry and professional structural review; none is endorsed as universal interchange.

Before you buy

US/LHD S13/S14 240SX only. Match both VINs/builds, generation, production month, complete-versus-section identity and body dimensions; the S14 whole/side support changes at 07/1996. Do not infer JDM, nose-conversion, front-clip, S13/S14 or early/late interchange. Reject unmeasured cuts, bent/stretched mounts, torn weld flanges, severe corrosion and prior pull/section repair. This guide gives no structural repair procedure; use a qualified collision shop and current body-repair information.
