US/LHD Nissan 240SX S13/S14 Steering-Wheel and Restraint-Branch Identification

Identification-only guide for US/LHD 1989-1994 Nissan 240SX S13 factory bare steering wheels, horn pads and ASCD switches, and US/LHD 1995-1998 S14 bare steering wheels, separately identified driver-restraint module, spiral cable and switches. Narrow by generation, production, factory restraint branch, ASCD equipment, connectors and written loaded contents. S13 horn-pad and S14 driver-airbag branches are not interchangeable assumptions. Seller paths cover switches or spiral cable only; they are not recommendations to buy or reuse an airbag. Exclude imported Silvia/180SX/RHD assumptions, non-US conversions, columns/racks, quick releases and deployed, altered, recalled or provenance-unknown modules from crash/flood/fire donors.

WHERE TO BUY

Open an exact listing, then confirm fitment, stock, price, and shipping with the seller before ordering.

Seller links checked . Prices and availability can change.

What you need to know

Record both VINs/builds, S13 or S14 generation, production, US/LHD factory restraint branch, ASCD equipment, wheel/switch/spiral-cable identity, connectors and written contents. Require label/date, full front/back, connector and mount photos. A qualified restraint-system professional must inspect any S14 SRS-related work using current procedures. Reject deployed, altered, recalled, cut-wire, uncentered, crash-, heat-, flood- or fire-damaged parts; do not probe inflator circuits, use bypass resistors, ship a module unlawfully or accept provenance-unknown restraint parts.

OEM numbers

CHECKED GENERATION/PRODUCTION/EQUIPMENT EXAMPLES, NOT ONE S13/S14 WHEEL SET. S13 bare wheel examples include 48430-40F10 and 48430-51F70 with checked ASCD switch 25551-51E00. S14 bare wheel example 48430-72F10 is from the driver-airbag generationchecked S14 ASCD switch identity is 25551-15U00 and checked spiral-cable/wire assembly is 25554-70F85. Driver-airbag identities are for decoding only and excluded from seller recommendations.

Supersession

No S13-to-S14, horn-pad-to-driver-airbag, Coupe/Fastback/Convertible, early-to-late production, ASCD, connector, spiral-cable, US-to-import or LHD-to-RHD supersession is asserted. Similar spline or exterior appearance does not prove horn, ASCD, canceling, spiral-cable or SRS compatibility.

Fitment

Record both VINs/builds, S13 or S14 generation, production, US/LHD factory restraint branch, ASCD equipment, wheel/switch/spiral-cable identity, connectors and written contents. Require label/date, full front/back, connector and mount photos. A qualified restraint-system professional must inspect any S14 SRS-related work using current procedures. Reject deployed, altered, recalled, cut-wire, uncentered, crash-, heat-, flood- or fire-damaged parts; do not probe inflator circuits, use bypass resistors, ship a module unlawfully or accept provenance-unknown restraint parts.

Aftermarket options

A generation- and connector-specific switch or spiral cable may be considered only when exact US/LHD application is documented and a qualified technician verifies S14 SRS centering/function. Universal wheels, quick releases, imported-market assumptions, delete plates and warning-light resistors are not factory restraint equivalents.

Before you buy

Identification only: 1989-1994 US S13 uses the checked horn-pad branch, while 1995-1998 US S14 uses a driver-airbag/spiral-cable branch. Do not assume imported Silvia/180SX/RHD interchange; qualified SRS service and lawful shipping are mandatory.
