What you need to know
Confirm badge, VIN/model year, installed key system, exact paint suffix, component and included pieces before ordering. Remote keyless entry alone is not Smart Key/keyless access. Select the smart or non-smart pull lever for either door, then select the separate side-specific base and cap: LH/driver or RH/passenger. Match connector/lead and smart-entry handle equipment rather than assuming a separately serviceable sensor is included. On US/LHD cars the mechanical key cylinder is a separate left/driver VIN/keyed service path. Listings may omit the base, caps, pads, cylinder, connector or hardware. Do not attempt a smart-entry retrofit from the handle alone.
OEM numbers
Subaru BRZ: non-smart/base outer-lever family 61160CA000 plus paint suffix, with no-paint service lever 61169CA000smart-entry/high outer-lever family 61160CA010 plus paint suffix, with checked Crystal White Pearl example 61160CA010W6. Both Subaru lever branches are cataloged quantity two and serve both doors. Side-specific bases are LH/driver 61142CA010 and RH/passenger 61142CA000no-paint caps are LH/driver 61139CA000 and RH/passenger 61139CA010painted predecessor caps use 61134CA000 plus suffix driver and 61134CA010 plus suffix passenger. Toyota/Scion lever examples include non-smart SU003-01587 through SU003-01593 and smart SU003-01594 through SU003-01599later colors/special editions add other SU003 numbers. Treat every lever number as equipment/paint controlled and common to both doors. Bases are RH/passenger SU003-01584 and LH/driver SU003-01585. Checked Subaru non-smart painted handles 61160CA000V2, 61160CA000EN, 61160CA000B5, 61160CA000RL, 61160CA000WU, 61160CA000S3 and 61160CA000PG are replaced by no-paint 61169CA000. Checked early color-suffixed driver caps on 61134CA000 and passenger caps on 61134CA010 show replacement by no-paint 61139CA000 and 61139CA010 respectively. Do not extend either chain to smart 61160CA010 handles. Toyota/Scion color and smart/non-smart numbers are equipment/finish branches, not a supersession chain. Toyota diagram and exact-page side labels conflict, while ToyotaPartsNow and matching Subaru catalogs show the lever serving both doors; therefore side is selected by the base/cap, never inferred from a Toyota lever-page side label.

Aftermarket options
Checked choices include new OEM no-paint and painted handles, side-specific OEM bases/caps, and used original handle/base assemblies. Cosmetic stick-on covers are not replacement handles. No aftermarket or used smart handle is represented as electrically compatible without matching the installed sensing lead, connector, side-related pieces and VIN. Used painted parts require paint-code and condition inspection.

US/LHD first generation only. Select the pull lever by smart-entry equipment and exact paint suffix, not by side; then match the separate side-specific base and cap, LH/driver or RH/passenger. Toyota lever-page side labels conflict, so no lever number is assigned to one side. The driver lock cylinder is a separate VIN/keyed part. A listing may exclude its base, cap, pads, cylinder, connector and hardware. Latch/actuator faults remain in ZN6-0029. Do not assume cross-badge or smart-entry retrofit interchange, and verify secure operation before driving.
