S197 Rear Lower Control Arms, Relocation Brackets & Bent Axle-Bracket Trap

Geometry/aftermarket upgrade page, not OEM supersession.

Lowered S197 changes rear lower-control-arm angle. Relocation brackets correct geometry/anti-squat, but are not mandatory for every lowered street car. Bent axle brackets or poor welding/bolting matter on drift/track cars.

Checked geometry paths: Maximum Motorsports Mm5RLCA-57 bolt-on relocation brackets; BMR CAB005H bolt-on brackets. These alter lower-control-arm pickup height/anti-squat and are most relevant after lowering or for a specific traction setup. Inspect the factory axle brackets for bending, cracks, wallowed holes and poor prior welding before installation.

Relocation brackets are geometry/tuning parts, not mandatory for every lowered street car. Confirm rear ride height, control-arm angle, sway-bar compatibility and bracket condition. Maximum Motorsports excludes the Eibach adjustable rear swaybar and certain 15-inch-wheel swaybar relocation setups.
