Limited to 2005-2010 hydraulic-rack cars. Diagnose pump/line leaks, rack seals, inner joints, outer ends, steering-shaft play and alignment before replacement. 2011-2014 EPAS is electrically and mechanically different; an EPAS conversion is outside this repair page.
OEM numbers
Ford reman hydraulic rack 9R3Z-3504-CRM, replacing 4R3Z-3504-BA, 6R3Z-3504-BA, 7R3Z-3504-B and 9R3Z-3504-C. Ford inner tie rod 9R3Z-3280-B, replacing 4R3Z-3280-A/AA and 9R3Z-3280-ARH/LH, sold individually. Outer tie rods remain VIN/application-specific and are not given one universal OEM number here.Supersession
Hydraulic rack service chain verified from older 4R3Z/6R3Z/7R3Z/9R3Z rack numbers into 9R3Z-3504-CRM reman service assembly. Inner tie rod chain verified from 4R3Z-3280-A/AA and 9R3Z-3280-A into 9R3Z-3280-B. Outer tie rod OEM chain still needs Ford counter cleanup before calling the tie-rod section fully complete.
Fitment
Limited to 2005-2010 hydraulic-rack cars. Diagnose pump/line leaks, rack seals, inner joints, outer ends, steering-shaft play and alignment before replacement. 2011-2014 EPAS is electrically and mechanically different; an EPAS conversion is outside this repair page.

Checked reman hydraulic rack and genuine Ford inner-tie-rod paths. Reman rack listings vary by wheel/option and carry core charges; confirm VIN and return shipping for the core. Replace damaged boots and align after any rack or tie-rod work.
