What you need to know

Before purchase, verify VIN, 2004-2005 standard/non-turbo identity, manual transmission, underhood emissions label, factory immobilizer equipment, every character of the installed PCM label and connector condition. Mazda's North American service-information path requires the VIN plus immobilizer serial number for the 2001-2005 Miata immobilizer code. Only 2006-and-later Miata is covered by Mazda's published PCM-reflashing path, so do not assume a generic J2534 reflash will configure this NB PCM. Replacement, key registration and immobilizer diagnosis belong with a Mazda dealer or properly credentialed automotive locksmith/service provider using current lawful procedures and proof of ownership.

OEM numbers

BP7V-18-881R-0G = current Mazda remanufactured PCM catalog path for the checked 2004-2005 manual-transmission, with-immobilizer branch. Predecessor labels in that supported chain are BP7V-18-881, BP7V-18-881A, BP7V-18-881B, BP7V-18-881C, BP7V-18-881D, BP7V-18-881F and BP7V-18-881G. Checked immobilizer-unit reference LC62-67-5G2Dused listings may show earlier LC62-67-5G2C. A PCM, immobilizer unit, transponder key, lock cylinder and remote are distinct components unless a listing itemizes a matched set.

Supersession

Mazda seller catalogs support BP7V-18-881 / A / B / C / D / F / G -> BP7V-18-881R-0G for the manual-with-immobilizer branch. This is not permission to substitute BP7W automatic, BP7X manual-without-immobilizer, Mazdaspeed/turbo or another calibration family. No LC62-67-5G2C -> LC62-67-5G2D interchange or used-module pairability is asserted.

Fitment

Aftermarket options

No universal, performance-tuned, immobilizer-delete, cloned, virginized or bypassed PCM is endorsed. A checked Mazda reman PCM is the preferred documented hardware path after exact identity and service-path confirmation. A used matched set can be described only as donor hardware whose labels, completeness, ownership provenance and lawful installation path still require professional verification; listing claims do not prove it will operate in another car.

Before you buy

This page identifies a narrow hardware and lawful service branch; it does not provide key-programming, cloning, virginizing, immobilizer-delete or theft-bypass instructions. Confirm a US 2004-2005 standard/non-turbo manual car with factory immobilizer, VIN, emissions label and the complete installed BP7V label before ordering. Automatic, without-immobilizer and Mazdaspeed families are separate. A previously programmed used PCM or immobilizer is not assumed pairable, and a listed matched set is not assumed complete. Use Mazda's current North American service-information path, a Mazda dealer or a properly credentialed automotive locksmith/service provider with proof of ownership. Prices, inventory and service eligibility are dated observations.
