US NA/NB Miata Fuel-Tank Shells: Generation, Filler/EVAP Interfaces and Contents
US/LHD 1990-1997 NA and 1999-2005 NB Mazda MX-5 Miata factory fuel-tank shells only. Resolve recipient VIN, production/build, 1990-1993 transmission, exact installed/service identity, underhood emissions label and EVAP architecture, pump/sender opening, filler/vent interfaces, shields/pads/insulators and seller contents. Every 1999 car requires current Mazda VIN-catalog and installed-number confirmation because checked seller evidence adds a 7/1/1999 boundary not exposed by the model-year collision guide. Treat 2005 and Mazdaspeed ND30-42-110A evidence as verify-by-VIN sourcing evidence, not a formal cross-year arrow. Exclude the 1998 US gap, 2006-up NC/ND, non-US/RHD assumptions, racing cells, modified tanks, unsupported NA/NB interchange and unsafe repair or shipping claims.

Seller links checked . Prices and availability can change.
Start with VIN, build, generation, exact installed tank number and underhood emissions label. For 1990-1993 also match manual versus automatic; for 1999 stop unless a current Mazda VIN catalog and the installed shell confirm the correct branch; for 2005 or Mazdaspeed require the same verification rather than relying on dismantler interchange. Compare shell shape/capacity, pump-module and sender openings, stud/ring pattern, internal baffling visible through safe inspection, filler neck/hose and non-return-valve interfaces, vent and EVAP ports, shields/protectors, pads/insulators/reinforcements and every mounting point. Bare tank, shell, assembly and complete have no dependable shared contents: itemize pump/module, sender, strainer, gaskets/seals, filler pipe/hose/cap/cover, non-return or rollover/vent equipment, EVAP chamber/canister/lines, shields, pads, straps/reinforcements, brackets and hardware. Do not reuse swollen, cracked or fuel-softened hoses or seals. Reject unexplained odor, wetness, pinholes, seam or neck corrosion, deep dents, damaged studs/ports, heavy internal rust/varnish/debris, failed coating, crash/fire/flood exposure, welding, brazing, drilling, cutting, pressure distortion or undocumented lining/sealant. Fuel vapor can remain explosive after draining or rinsing: do not publish or rely on DIY welding, heat, pressure, steam-cleaning or improvised repair advice. Leaking/contaminated-tank diagnosis, removal, cleaning, disposal and installation belong to a qualified fuel-system shop using current Mazda procedures, safe ventilation, ignition-source control and lawful carrier/disposal rules. A used tank must be empty and shipped only under the carrier's written hazardous-material policy.
OEM numbers
FACTORY TANK-SHELL FAMILIES, NOT LOADED MODULES. 1990-1993 NA manual tank is NA01-42-110Cautomatic is the separate NA03-42-110B. 1994-1997 NA is NA75-42-110. The NB collision guide lists 1999-2002 NC49-42-110B, while a checked dealer catalog reports NC49-42-110B -> NC49-42-110Cevery 1999 car still requires VIN/build and installed-number confirmation. The guide lists 2003 ND30-42-110 and 2004 ND30-42-110Aa current 2003 dealer path and exact 2005 donor path also display ND30-42-110A, but no universal formal ND30-to-A arrow is asserted. Separate NA filler/cover anchors are NA01-42-210A, NA01-42-241 then NA01-42-241C, 0866-42-366B, NA01-42-230 and NA75-42-240. The checked dealer-catalog service link is NC49-42-110B -> NC49-42-110C for the supported NB branch. No supersession is asserted between early manual NA01-42-110C, early automatic NA03-42-110B, late-NA NA75-42-110, NB NC49 and ND30 families. The collision-guide 2003 ND30-42-110 and 2004 ND30-42-110A entries plus current 2003 and exact 2005 A-suffix observations are retained as production/current-service history, not a universal formal arrow. Filler pipes, hoses, covers, non-return valves, pads and insulators are production-dependent attached equipment, not tank-shell supersessions. Aftermarket MZNATANK is not a Mazda supersession.

Aftermarket options
The checked Key Parts MZNATANK is a bare 12.7-gallon aftermarket shell. Raybuck claims it exactly replaces NA75-42-110 and fits 1990-1997 without modification, including a modified check-valve retainer; that is seller/manufacturer fitment language, not Mazda interchange proof and it does not erase NA01 manual, NA03 automatic and NA75 factory branches. Before considering it, require current written manufacturer instructions for the exact VIN, transmission and generation; pump/sender opening and baffle compatibility; filler, check/non-return and EVAP interfaces; every transferred or supplied seal, pad, shield and fastener; material/coating, road/emissions use, warranty, return and carrier terms; and qualified-shop acceptance. Racing cells, fabricated mounts, cut floors and modified filler/vent systems are separate engineered conversions outside this guide.
Before you buy
Tank shell only: match VIN/build, 1990-1993 transmission, installed number, emissions/EVAP architecture, pump/sender opening, filler/vent interfaces, shields/pads and written contents. Every 1999 and every 2005/Mazdaspeed car needs current Mazda VIN confirmation. Seller MZNATANK 1990-1997 fitment is not factory interchange. Bare/complete does not guarantee pump, sender, seals, filler, valves, EVAP parts, shields or hardware. Reject leaks, corrosion, contamination, dents, damaged ports/studs, heat/fire/flood or any welded, drilled, lined or undocumented repair. Fuel-vapor work and lawful shipping belong to qualified professionals; seller states are dated.
