US-market 1990-1993 NA6 1.6L, 1994-1997 NA8 1.8L, 1999-2000 NB1 1.8L, and 2001-2005 NB2 1.8L VVT. Mazdaspeed NB is excluded from universal kit claims.

What you need to know

Separate NA6 1.6L, NA8 1.8L, NB1 1.8L, and NB2 VVT 1.8L before ordering. Verify belt, tensioner, idler, pump, front seals, thermostat, accessory belts, and included gaskets. The 2001-2005 VVT kit path explicitly excludes Mazdaspeed.

OEM numbers

Representative checked service references include Gates TCK179 for the 1.8L belt/tensioner family and Mazda water-pump family 8ABB-15-010A replaced by B6BF-15-010F. Kit contents varyno universal 1990-2005 kit number is claimed.

Supersession

MazdaPartsNow shows 8ABB-15-010A replaced by B6BF-15-010F. No supersession is claimed between a timing kit and separate seals, thermostat, hoses, or special tools.

Buy a generation-specific belt kit and inspect every included component. A complete service may need a water pump, front cam/crank seals, valve-cover gasket, thermostat, coolant, and accessory belts beyond the photographed kit.

Do not buy a generic 1990-2005 kit without checking engine generation and contents. A cart page is not guaranteed inventory. Prices exclude tax and shipping. Mazdaspeed NB is outside the VVT-kit recommendation unless the exact seller application confirms it.
