NA/NB Miata Clutch Pedal, Bushings, Pushrod and Mounting Inspection

US-market left-hand-drive 1990-1997 NA and 1999-2005 non-Mazdaspeed NB Mazda Miata, manual transmission only. Automatic cars, the US 1998 gap year, RHD/JDM cars, Mazdaspeed/turbo branches, and universal-fit claims are excluded.

What you need to know

Identify the movement before ordering. Upper-pivot side play or noise points to 1015-46-085 bushings, pivot hardware, pedal bore and bracket. Lost motion at the master-cylinder connection points to 0727-41-023, the joint pin, washer/clip, clevis, pushrod and pedal hole. If the whole bracket or master-cylinder mounting area moves, inspect fasteners, bracket, corrosion and body sheet metal from both sides; visible cracks or structural movement require qualified assessment, not pushrod adjustment or a blind pedal swap. After mechanical work, restore and verify Mazda pedal height, free play and disengagement height. Route fluid leakage, a sinking pedal, trapped air, master/slave/line selection and bleeding to MIA-0007.

Supersession

No universal NA-to-NB or all-market supersession is claimed. B/C/D/E are documented catalog revisions/examples, while market and turbo branches can differ. Seller 1990-2005 fitment language does not prove one complete assembly interchanges across every car. Confirm VIN, LHD configuration, installed full number, and included bracket, stops, pad, grommet and switches.
