2003-2007 G35 Coupe Rear Lamps: August 2005 Production Split, Side, Harness and Seal

No early-to-late lamp supersession is asserted. AM825 and CM40A are production-split complete assemblies, and AM810 versus CM40A body/lens and harness families must stay with the installed build branch. 26261-89908 -> 26261-89917 is a checked 18W bulb supersession, but it does not join the complete lamp families. Sedan AL526/AC725 numbers and 350Z numbers are separate and excluded.

Read the door-jamb production date and installed molded/label number before ordering, especially on a 2006-model vehicle. Match coupe body, through-08/2005 or from-08/2005 family, RH/LH side, complete assembly versus body/lens-only contents, sub-harness/connector, sockets, bulbs and new seal packing. Do not infer fitment from a seller's simplified 2003-2005 or 2006-2007 title. The factory manual identifies stop/tail as LED and directs replacement with the assembly; turn, backup and rear-marker bulbs are separate. Diagnose fuse, grounds, connector, sub-harness and individual bulb circuits before condemning an assembly. Replace non-reusable seal packing, torque mounting nuts evenly, then verify tail, brake, turn, backup and marker functions and check for water entry.

Checked early-family aftermarket paths include DEPO 315-1939L-AS / IN2800114 for the LH/driver side and Replacement AP RI73010001 / IN2801114 for the RH/passenger side. These are side- and early-family-specific alternatives, not proof of fitment for a from-08/2005 car. Aftermarket catalogs that label the complete lamp as halogen conflict with the factory manual's LED stop/tail service description; rely on the factory circuit and installed lamp, not that generic light-source field. A complete 26550/26555 lamp is not the same item as a 26554/26559 body/lens, sub-harness, socket, bulb or seal. Factory manuals identify the stop/tail function as LED and serviced with the assembly while turn, backup and marker bulbs remain separate. Use new non-reusable seal packing and verify every rear-light function and water seal after installation. Do not accept a generic aftermarket halogen label as proof about the stop/tail light source.
