E46 non-M M52TU/M54/M56 double VANOS is separate from S54 M3 VANOS. Power loss/flat low-end and rattle are different repair paths: seals vs anti-rattle bearings.

Before you buy
This page is for non-M M52TU/M54/M56 double VANOS, not S54 M3. Seals and anti-rattle parts address different failure modes. The rebuilt-unit price excludes the refundable $150 core deposit, which is added at checkout. A seals-only kit does not address every VANOS failure mode. Diagnose rattle, bearing wear, solenoids, oil supply, and mechanical timing before choosing seals, anti-rattle parts, or a rebuilt unit.
