Diagnose cold-start pump operation, fuse/relay and power, pressure hose, vacuum supply/control valve and the exhaust-side check valve before replacing the pump. A failed valve can allow exhaust moisture into the pump. M56 and S54 are excluded.

Late M54 references include pump 11727571589 and pressure hose 11727555681, which revises 11727515007. Early systems and valve/vacuum hardware use different numbersverify production date and emissions engine.Supersession
11727515007 -> 11727555681 is supported for the checked late pressure hose. Pump, check valve, vacuum control and monitored M56 parts are separate diagnostic paths.
Fitment
Diagnose cold-start pump operation, fuse/relay and power, pressure hose, vacuum supply/control valve and the exhaust-side check valve before replacing the pump. A failed valve can allow exhaust moisture into the pump. M56 and S54 are excluded.
Aftermarket options
Genuine/OE pumps, valves and molded hoses are sold separately. A hose-only repair is appropriate only when the pump, valve and vacuum control test correctly.
