What you need to know

Record both VINs/builds, seat labels and every connector before removal. Photograph the complete seat, underside, both rails/stops, mounts, frame/recliner, controls/motors, harness, buckle interface, side-airbag label and passenger occupancy equipment. Itemize frame, cushion/back, upholstery, headrest, tracks, motors/controls, recliner/release, harness, side airbag, occupancy hardware, buckle and fasteners. Reject bent/welded frames, elongated mounts, seized or mismatched rails, failed recliner locks, deployed/missing restraints, cut wiring, corrosion, crash loading, fire/flood/mold/pest/smoke/biohazard contamination or unavailable actual photos. Qualified SRS/OCS diagnosis, handling, calibration and final mounting inspection are required; no bypass or fabrication guidance is provided.

OEM numbers

CHECKED SIDE/ADJUSTMENT/SEAT-FAMILY IDENTITIES, NOT ONE COMPLETE S197 SEAT. Early manual driver track 7R3Z-6361711-B is replaced by CR3Z-6361711-Athe checked later catalog associates CR3Z-6361711-A with sport/Recaro manual driver equipment. Power driver track is AR3Z-6361711-Apower passenger track AR3Z-6361710-Amanual passenger sport/Recaro track AR3Z-6361704-A. Cushion frames include AR3Z-6363101-A driver power, AR3Z-6363101-B driver manual sport, CR3Z-6363100-A passenger sport, CR3Z-6363100-C passenger Recaro and CR3Z-6363101-C driver Recaro. Upholstery/pads, motors/controls, harness, side airbag, occupancy sensor, buckle and hardware remain separately identified.

Supersession

The checked early catalog records 7R3Z-6361711-B to CR3Z-6361711-A. Other listed tracks and frames remain separate side/adjustment/seat-family identities; similar rail spacing or S197 generation naming does not authorize manual/power, standard/Recaro, driver/passenger, early/late connector or restraint-interface interchange.

Fitment

Record both VINs/builds, seat labels and every connector before removal. Photograph the complete seat, underside, both rails/stops, mounts, frame/recliner, controls/motors, harness, buckle interface, side-airbag label and passenger occupancy equipment. Itemize frame, cushion/back, upholstery, headrest, tracks, motors/controls, recliner/release, harness, side airbag, occupancy hardware, buckle and fasteners. Reject bent/welded frames, elongated mounts, seized or mismatched rails, failed recliner locks, deployed/missing restraints, cut wiring, corrosion, crash loading, fire/flood/mold/pest/smoke/biohazard contamination or unavailable actual photos. Qualified SRS/OCS diagnosis, handling, calibration and final mounting inspection are required; no bypass or fabrication guidance is provided.

Aftermarket options

Vehicle-specific certified replacement seats/tracks may be considered only when mounting, belt geometry and all required restraint/occupancy interfaces are documented by the manufacturer and accepted by a qualified professional. Universal brackets, resistor/emulator tricks, welded adapters and unknown racing seats are outside this guide.

Before you buy

Match both VINs/builds, production, side, manual/power and standard/sport/Recaro family, labels/connectors, side-airbag and occupancy equipment, actual condition and written contents. Never bypass SRS/OCS; a complete-looking seat can still have the wrong rail, harness, buckle or restraint interfaces.
