2011-2014 Mustang GT 5.0L Production Fuel-Pump Module, FPCM and Pressure/No-Start Diagnosis

US/LHD 2011-2014 S197 Ford Mustang GT Coupe or Convertible with the factory naturally aspirated 5.0L four-valve V8 and production Mechanical Returnless Fuel System (MRFS). This page is limited to the LH primary fuel-pump module, the single production Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM/FPDM search language), pressure/no-start diagnosis, electrical connectors and pump-opening seals. Exclude 3.7L V6, Boss 302, Shelby GT500 5.4L/5.8L, 2005-2010 cars, 2015-up cars, swaps, forced-induction conversions, return-style conversions, dual-pump systems and performance upgrades. Fuel-level sender and saddle-tank transfer selection is expressly out of scope and remains with canonical S197-0024.

What you need to know

Ford's 2014 Mustang service material identifies the 3.7L/5.0L production system as MRFS, places the pressure-supplying pump module in the LH tank saddle and specifies one FPCM on the driver's side of the spare-tire stowage compartment; the 5.8L dual-FPCM architecture is not this GT 5.0L system. The checked 2014 factory pressure reference is 350-415 kPa (51-60 psi) KOEO and KOER; use the VIN/year-specific Ford workshop manual for 2011-2013 instead of silently projecting that 2014 number backward. For a crank/no-start or low-pressure concern, retrieve all DTCs and data first, verify fuel quality/quantity and collision shut-off state, then use current Ford PC/ED and the correct wiring diagram to check power supply, FPCM B+/ground under load, PCM command and FPM feedback, C4033/C433 terminal condition, loaded voltage drop, pump current, pressure and volume before condemning either module. The Ford 2014 OBD summary describes MRFS checks including P025A, P025B, P0627 and U0109, but code presence/application must be confirmed in current VIN-specific service information. Do not jumper or bypass the FPCM, apply battery power with improvised leads, or probe fuel circuits with an incandescent test light. C4033, C433 and 14A464 are connector/circuit callouts, not enough to order a pigtail: match VIN/build, installed housing/engineering marks, cavity count, keying, terminal size, wire gauge and heat/fuel damage. Before opening the tank, relieve residual pressure using the Ford procedure, disconnect battery ground, control fuel/spillage and ignition sources, clean the flange area, discard the old O-ring, install a new correct seal, align the module tabs, inspect the lock ring and flange for damage/corrosion, and leak-check after key cycling and while running. Route gauge, level-sender or cross-saddle transfer complaints to S197-0024 rather than replacing this pump/FPCM by symptom alone.

Ford's current parts site identifies CR3Z-9H307-BMotorcraft PFS-952 as the checked fuel-pump module endpoint and BR3Z-9D372-C as the checked Ford Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM)Ford service basic numbers 9H307 and 9D372 identify those component families. Ford's current site also identifies 4L3Z-9276-AAMotorcraft CG807 as the checked fuel-pump service gasket and 4L2Z-9C385-AAMotorcraft FPR11 as the retaining ring9E275 is the 2014 workshop-manual basic callout for the module O-ring, not a conflicting purchasable service number. In the 2014 5.0L wiring/service material, C4033 identifies the FPCM connector in the luggage compartment, C433 identifies the tank-mounted pump connector, and 14A464 is only Ford's generic pump-connector basic calloutnone of those connector labels by itself proves a purchasable repair-pigtail number.

Supersession

Do not publish a seller-derived predecessor as a formal Ford supersession. Keep this page to stock-capacity, stock-calibration OE or documented direct-replacement pump modules and the exact production FPCM service path. A complete pump-module listing may include the integral filter and level hardware, but this page does not select or diagnose fuel-level parts. Confirm whether a new tank O-ring is included; otherwise order the verified seal separately, and inspect rather than assume the retaining ring is reusable. The production 5.0L system is MRFS with one FPCM and an LH primary pump module. Match VIN/build and installed labels before buying CR3Z-9H307-B or BR3Z-9D372-C, and match connector housing/keying rather than ordering from C4033/C433/14A464 callouts alone. The 51-60 psi KOEO/KOER value is a checked 2014 Ford reference; consult year-specific service information for 2011-2013. Diagnose DTCs, command/feedback, power/ground under load, connector condition, voltage drop, pump current, pressure and volume before replacement; never bypass or hot-wire the FPCM. Fuel remains pressurized with the engine off: qualified service must relieve pressure, disconnect battery ground, eliminate ignition sources, use a new correct O-ring, inspect the ring/flange and leak-check.
