1989-1993 S13 240SX Coupe vs Fastback Rear Combination Lamps

No supported supersession or direct interchange exists between the -40F00 Fastback full lamps and -41F00 Coupe full lamps. The checked seller pages mark all four genuine complete assemblies discontinued. The Fastback sealer chain is B6E53-89965 -> B6553-89965; the checked Coupe catalog shows B6553-89915 -> B6EEC-89915. Bulb 26717-89970 is serviced by 26717-9B90D. The OEM catalog flags multi-supersession on the Fastback lens-only numbers without resolving one safe universal replacement, so no lens supersession is asserted. A seller's 1989-1994 or S13 label does not override body, side, center-piece, socket or market identity.

Identify the original US body before using model year: Coupe uses the longer -41F00 side assemblies and no 26540-40F00 Fastback center reverse-lamp assembly; Fastback uses the shorter -40F00 side lamps plus the separate center reverse-lamp piece. On this US/LHD guide, LH is driver side and RH is passenger side. Match the installed Nissan service number when visible, physical lens and housing shape, stud pattern, connector keying, socket plate and bulb functions, center panel, seal channel and included trim before buying. The catalog's 07/1988 start note applies to the -40F10 harness/socket pieces and is not evidence of a Coupe/Fastback interchange. Inspect used lamps for cracks, UV damage, separated lenses, broken studs, corrosion, melted sockets, water entry, damaged reflectors and wiring repairs, and test tail, stop, turn, reverse and reflector functions.
