What you need to know

First-generation only. Use the exact DTC and active/pressure tests. The primary Subaru diagnostic document covers BRZ procedures; its component numbers are not automatically Toyota interchange evidence.

OEM numbers

Checked Subaru purge valve 16131AA070, leak-check module 42084FJ000 to 42084FJ001 and canister 42035FJ010. Toyota checked canister SU003-04502. Badge/VIN catalog controls.

Supersession

No cross-badge supersession and no generic filler-neck replacement claim. DTC testing must distinguish purge valve, ELCM, canister, cap, hose and wiring faults.

Fitment

First-generation only. Use the exact DTC and active/pressure tests. The primary Subaru diagnostic document covers BRZ procedures; its component numbers are not automatically Toyota interchange evidence.

Aftermarket options

Checked OEM purge, leak-module and canister paths plus an exact aftermarket purge-valve listing. Generic evaporative-emissions bundles are excluded.

Before you buy

Diagnose the exact EVAP DTC; a purge-code article is not proof that the purge valve is faulty. Subaru and Toyota component numbers are kept badge-specific. Catalog and cart display do not guarantee stock.
