US/LHD 1992-1999 BMW E36 3 Series factory hood applications only, including the checked Sedan, Coupe, Convertible, M3 and 318ti Compact branches. Resolve the 17-character VIN, production date, exact body family, installed panel and front structure before ordering. The checked catalog separates Sedan/M3 Sedan/318ti Compact from Coupe/Convertible/M3 two-door hoods and also separates early from later two-door hinges at the checked 06/1993 production boundary. Exclude E30, E46, Z3/E36-7, non-US Touring or RHD assumptions, aftermarket carbon/fiberglass panels, appearance conversions and vehicles with unmeasured hinge, latch, radiator-support, fender or headlamp-support collision damage.

Confirm the installed hood label/number, leading and side contours, hinge bolt pattern, twin-lock and safety-catch interfaces, gas-strut mounts, insulation pattern, washer-nozzle holes, hose routing and heated-nozzle wiring. A bare primed or painted panel normally omits hinges/bolts, gas struts, upper/lower locks, safety catch, release mechanism/cable, seals/bumpers, sound insulation/clips, washer nozzles/hose/wiring, emblem and hardware unless every item is shown and itemized. Inspect used steel panels at hems and seams for corrosion, dents, sharp folds, filler, repaint, weld/adhesive disturbance, cracked or elongated mounts, bent hinges/catches and freight damage; require donor VIN/body/build plus full top, underside and edge photographs.
