Inspect the rear shock-tower sheet metal for deformation or tearing before installing mounts. A reinforcement plate spreads load but does not repair cracked metal. Replace mounts in pairs, verify washer/bushing stack and shock-stem hardware, and torque with the suspension procedure appropriate to the shock manufacturer.
