What you need to know
Select by installed engine, not model-year shorthand alone. Air pockets, a blocked bleeder, cap pressure, fan operation, pump condition and combustion leakage can mimic a thermostat fault. Use the factory fill/air-relief procedure and never open a hot cooling system.

VQ35DE references 21200-4W010 and 21200-4W01BVQ35HR thermostat/housing 21200-JK20A. HR housing hardware and sealing parts differno cross-engine substitution is claimed.Supersession
No DE-to-HR supersession. The reviewed catalogs show separate DE and HR assemblies. Confirm any DE 4W010/4W01B revision against VIN before purchase rather than inferring interchange from the similar base number.
Fitment

Aftermarket options
OEM-temperature DE and HR assemblies are the default service paths. Low-temperature thermostats change warm-up behavior and are not a cure for a failing cooling system. Match housing, gasket/O-ring and bolts to the installed engine.
