350Z Front Akebono Brake Conversion

What you need to know

Front conversion only. The verified package is a matched system: four-piston Akebono front calipers, 355 x 32 mm front rotors, matching pads and pad hardware, and Z33-specific front adapter brackets with their supplied hardware. The calipers do not bolt directly to the Z33 front knuckle without the adapters. Stock non-Sport brake lines require the correct short banjo bolts because Z1 states the original banjo bolt is too long to seal on the Sport caliper; use new crush washers, or a conversion-specific line set. Trim, remove, or replace the front dust shields and then verify rotor-to-caliper and rotor-to-shield clearance. An 18-inch wheel is only the minimum diameter, not a fit guarantee: spoke profile, barrel shape, width and offset matter, and Z1 specifically warns that the OEM 18-inch RAYS Track wheel does not clear without modification. Require a correctly scaled printable caliper template before ordering. Rear Akebono conversion is deliberately outside this row: it uses a separate two-piston/350 x 20 mm package, has its own shield and hose/hardware checks, and factory-Brembo cars require four different rear caliper bolts according to Z1. The cited full kit retains the Z33 parking-brake shoes, but that claim belongs on a separate rear/full-kit page.

Infiniti G37 sport-brake calipers - RH/passenger 41001-JL00A -> 41001-JL02A and LH/driver 41011-JL00A -> 41011-JL02A. Front sport rotor: 40206-JL00A, 355 mm (14.0 in) x 32 mm. Z33-specific front adapter example: CZP 41G37-VP100-KT.

Supersession

Verified front-caliper chains: 41001-1EA0A -> 41001-1EA1B; 41011-1EA0A -> 41011-1EA1B; 41001-JL00A -> 41001-JL02A; 41011-JL00A -> 41011-JL02A. Do not chain 1EA4A or 6GP-family calipers into those sequences without an explicit EPC replacement statement. The 6GP family is a later 2023+ Z application, not the legacy 370Z/G37 donor identity used by this page.
