What you need to know

Start with both 17-character VINs, exact build months, Coupe body and photographs of every readable Nissan label, stamping and casting. Match the catalog shell branch before considering color or seller year range. The checked catalogs do not establish a separate rear-wiper shell branch; treat rear-wiper equipment as an itemized loaded-hatch contents check. Likewise, the service description Door Assy-Back does not prove that bonded glass, spoiler, wiper motor/arm, washer hose, defroster leads, harness, hinges, stays/struts, poppers, latch, stops, weatherstrip, mouldings or inner trim are supplied. Verify the bonded glass identity and markings, intact defroster grid and tabs, spoiler holes and actual spoiler identity, wiper sweep equipment, harness plugs and washer routing. For a used hatch require actual-piece photographs, donor VIN/build/trim, exact shell or glass identity when readable, paint code and repaint disclosure, and an itemized inventory. Inspect the outer skin, inner frame, hinge and latch areas, glass bond, mouldings and mounting holes for bends, cracks, torn metal, corrosion, delamination, filler, heat, non-factory welds, drilled holes, water entry and prior collision repair. Check diagonal/edge measurements and body opening/hinge condition independently; a different hatch cannot cure damaged rear structure. Confirm freight pallet, glass protection, residential lift-gate charges, warranty and return terms before purchase. Use current Nissan body, glazing, restraint and electrical procedures plus qualified glass/body service; do not cut bonded glass or align a collision-damaged closure from this buyer guide.

OEM numbers

REPRESENTATIVE CHECKED NISSAN CATALOG IDENTITIES, NOT ONE INTERCHANGEABLE OR COMPLETE-ASSEMBLY LIST. Early 06/2002-07/2003 shell branches are K0100-CD0AM for the checked special-option or manual-coded branch and K0100-CD0MM for the checked standard Coupe branch. From 07/2003 the checked branches are K0100-CD7AM for the special-option or manual-coded branch and K0100-CD7MM for the standard Coupe branch. The checked 01/2007-08/2007 branches are K010M-CD7AA for Track/GT and K010M-CD7MA for standard/Enthusiast/Touring. Checked from-08/2007 service branches are KMA0M-CD7AA for Track/GT and KMA0M-CD7MA for standard/Enthusiast/Touring. A separate checked 05/2007-up special Enthusiast-manual catalog branch is K0100-1A44A followed by KMA00-1A44Ado not decode that branch beyond an exact VIN and installed identity. Standard back-door glass is 90300-CD000the special branch uses 90300-1A45A followed by K0300-1A45A. The checked hinge chain is 90400-CD000 to 90400-CF00A. Related separately cataloged verification anchors are back-door moulding 90352-CD000 and glass holder 90356-CD100. Struts, stays, poppers, latch, spoiler, rear wiper, trim, harness, weatherstrip and hardware remain separately identified contentsthis row intentionally does not re-claim the strut, popper or latch numbers owned by Z33-0041.

Supersession

The checked Nissan service records support K0100-CD7AM and K010M-CD7AA -> KMA0M-CD7AA; K010M-CD7MA -> K0100-CD7MM; K0100-1A44A -> KMA00-1A44A; 90300-1A45A -> K0300-1A45A; and 90400-CD000 -> 90400-CF00A. K0100-CD7MM is shown with a multi-supersession result, so no single undocumented successor is asserted. KMA0M-CD7MA is retained as its own checked later standard/Enthusiast/Touring service branch rather than being presented as a proven successor to every earlier standard shell. Production/equipment branches and separately cataloged glass or hardware do not become interchangeable merely because a seller groups 2003-2008 cars together.

Fitment

Start with both 17-character VINs, exact build months, Coupe body and photographs of every readable Nissan label, stamping and casting. Match the catalog shell branch before considering color or seller year range. The checked catalogs do not establish a separate rear-wiper shell branch; treat rear-wiper equipment as an itemized loaded-hatch contents check. Likewise, the service description Door Assy-Back does not prove that bonded glass, spoiler, wiper motor/arm, washer hose, defroster leads, harness, hinges, stays/struts, poppers, latch, stops, weatherstrip, mouldings or inner trim are supplied. Verify the bonded glass identity and markings, intact defroster grid and tabs, spoiler holes and actual spoiler identity, wiper sweep equipment, harness plugs and washer routing. For a used hatch require actual-piece photographs, donor VIN/build/trim, exact shell or glass identity when readable, paint code and repaint disclosure, and an itemized inventory. Inspect the outer skin, inner frame, hinge and latch areas, glass bond, mouldings and mounting holes for bends, cracks, torn metal, corrosion, delamination, filler, heat, non-factory welds, drilled holes, water entry and prior collision repair. Check diagonal/edge measurements and body opening/hinge condition independently; a different hatch cannot cure damaged rear structure. Confirm freight pallet, glass protection, residential lift-gate charges, warranty and return terms before purchase. Use current Nissan body, glazing, restraint and electrical procedures plus qualified glass/body service; do not cut bonded glass or align a collision-damaged closure from this buyer guide.

Aftermarket options

A straight genuine used hatch or verified Nissan service shell is the factory-identification path. A qualified glass shop may reuse or replace bonded glass only after confirming the exact glass branch, mouldings, adhesive system, defroster connections and body condition. Aftermarket carbon-fiber, fiberglass, vented, winged or pin-retained panels are outside this guide because material, hinges, latch retention, glazing, weather sealing, defroster/wiper equipment, impact behavior and road legality vary. A seller's universal 2003-2008, NISMO-style, complete or direct-fit wording is not interchange evidence. Repaired shells require documented metalwork, dimensions, hinge/latch integrity and pre-finish photographs.

Before you buy

US/LHD 2003-2008 350Z Coupe only; Roadster, G35, 370Z and JDM/RHD assumptions are excluded. Match VIN/build and exact shell/glass branch. Rear-wiper equipment is a loaded-hatch contents check, not a separately proven shell branch, and Door Assy-Back does not guarantee glass, spoiler, wiper, harness, hinges, struts, poppers, latch, trim or hardware. Require actual-piece identity, contents, glass/defroster condition, structural measurements, repair/paint disclosure, protected freight and usable return terms.
