US/LHD 2005-2014 Ford Mustang S197 factory road wheels and matching factory TPMS service paths only. Resolve recipient VIN, model year, V6/GT/Bullitt/Boss/Shelby equipment, factory brake package, front versus rear position, wheel casting or service identity, measured diameter/width/offset/backspacing and hub-pilot fit before ordering. Exclude 2015-up S550, replica or generic aftermarket-wheel identity claims, tires presented as wheel-fitment proof, drag or race-wheel selection, unsupported cross-era/cross-trim interchange and any wheel whose load, structural repair or runout cannot be documented.

What you need to know

Begin with VIN, build/model year, factory trim and option package, front or rear position, installed brake package and the wheel's complete backside casting/service marks. The checked 2007 GT500 specification uses 18x9.5 +45 mm wheels at both axles but P255/45R18 front and P285/40R18 rear tires, so it is a staggered tire package and Ford says not to rotate front to rear. The checked 2012 Boss 302 specification uses 19x9 front and 19x9.5 rear wheels; Laguna Seca uses 19x9 front and 19x10 rear, both with 255/40ZR19 front and 285/35ZR19 rear tires. The checked 2013 GT500 specification uses 19x9.5 front and 20x9.5 rear forged wheels, directional P265/40R19 front and P285/35R20 rear tires, and 15-inch six-piston Brembo front brakes. These examples prove package and position differences, not universal trim coverage. Brake barrel/spoke clearance is design-specific: official M-1007-P188MB fits listed V6/GT applications yet expressly does not clear OEM Brembo, while M-1007-S1895 is among the exact wheel families Ford lists for the 14-inch GT500 brake path already owned by S197-0021. Ford's 2013 supplement supports one narrow winter path using specified 2010-2012 GT500 19-inch wheels and P255/40R19 tires; it does not authorize other cross-era swaps, and it warns identical nominal tire sizes can still lack running clearance. Ford also specifies steering-stop changes for some 2005-2010 factory 16/17-inch cars moving to larger Ford Performance wheels and says some 2011-2014 cars may require stops. TPMS must follow the vehicle system: do not invent factory TPMS for 2005-2006; use the checked band-mounted 2007-2009 path, valve-mounted 2010-2014 path, and the separate metal-valve/high-performance branch where cataloged. M-1180-A covers 2010-2014 V6/GT and 2010-2012 GT500 only, is expressly not for 2007-2009, and its snap-in valve stems are not designed above 155 mph. Center caps follow the wheel's retention design, not diameter. Confirm the wheel's hub pilot and seat physically; use the documented 1/2-20, 60-degree conical-seat hardware only where the actual wheel requires it, and torque clean, dry production-style fasteners to Ford's checked 100 lb-ft/135 Nm specification. Relearn/reset TPMS with current Ford instructions for the exact vehicle and sensor.

Supersession

Supported checked Ford service links are 7R3Z-1007-B -> 8R3Z-1007-U for one wheel branch, 6W7Z-1012-BA -> 9R3Z-1012-A for the production lug nut, 9L3Z-1700-A -> 9L3Z-1700-AA for the rubber TPMS valve, and DR3Z-1700-B -> DR3Z-1700-C for the metal TPMS valve. All other wheel, front/rear, trim, finish, cap, sensor and steering-stop identities are parallel applications, not asserted supersessions. Engineering or casting marks such as 6R33-1007-EB may help authenticate a photographed wheel but are not silently converted into a Ford service supersession. No seller grouping, matching diameter, shared 5x114.3 bolt circle, exterior-era appearance or tire size creates interchange.

Aftermarket options

This factory-identification guide does not promote replica or generic aftermarket wheels. Checked replacement paths include new Ford Performance service wheels, genuine used take-offs and seller-described reconditioned OEM cores, but each must match the exact package, axle position, brake clearance, hub pilot, lug seat, cap and TPMS path. Reconditioning language is not structural proof: require the seller to identify the original wheel, disclose straightening, welding, heat, machining, chrome stripping/plating and finish work, provide spin/runout results and state whether the pictured wheel is the shipped unit. Do not assign OEM identity to a replica because its spokes, diameter or seller title look similar.

Before you buy

US 2005-2014 S197 factory road wheels only. Match VIN/year, trim and factory package, axle position, complete backside identity, measured dimensions and hub pilot, brake barrel/spoke clearance, center cap, 1/2-20 conical-seat hardware and exact TPMS system. Diameter, bolt circle, appearance and a mounted tire do not prove fit. Keep 2007-2009 band sensors, 2010-2014 valve sensors and the high-performance metal-valve branch separate. Inspect bends, cracks, welds, runout, corrosion, lug seats and refinishing; do not treat a repaired or replica wheel as factory identity.
