What you need to know

DE/RevUp has one throttle body; HR has two and side matters. Follow factory precautions: do not force the electronic plate, replace disturbed gaskets and complete the applicable closed-throttle/accelerator/idle-volume learning procedure. Diagnose intake leaks, MAF inputs and wiring before condemning the throttle body.

OEM numbers

VQ35DE reference 16119-8J10C (Hitachi replacement path). VQ35HR left 16119-JK20A -> 16119-JK20CHR right-side assembly is separate. DE gasket 16175-AR000HR gasket 16175-JK20A -> 16175-JK21A.

Supersession

Checked catalog paths support 16119-JK20A -> 16119-JK20C and 16175-JK20A -> 16175-JK21A. DE and HR throttle systems do not supersede one another.

Fitment

DE/RevUp has one throttle body; HR has two and side matters. Follow factory precautions: do not force the electronic plate, replace disturbed gaskets and complete the applicable closed-throttle/accelerator/idle-volume learning procedure. Diagnose intake leaks, MAF inputs and wiring before condemning the throttle body.

Aftermarket options

A new Hitachi DE assembly is a defensible OE-supplier-style path. HR buyers can choose exact-side new or remanufactured assemblies. Oversize throttle bodies can require calibration and are outside a stock replacement decision.

Before you buy

DE uses one throttle body; HR uses two side-specific units. Do not force the electronic plate or skip the factory learning steps. Cart/ship-time language is not guaranteed inventory, and used electronic throttle bodies require exact-side verification.
