350Z and G35 Coupe Factory Propeller Shafts: Model, Construction and Transmission Identification
US/LHD factory-rear-wheel-drive applications only: 2003-2008 Nissan 350Z Coupe, 2004-2008 350Z Roadster and 2003-2007 V35 Infiniti G35 Coupe, resolved by recipient and donor VIN/build, Nissan versus Infiniti model, Coupe versus Roadster body, five-speed automatic versus six-speed manual transmission, complete installed identity, factory construction, measured interfaces and itemized contents. The checked 350Z path is a one-piece 2S80A CFRP shaft; the checked G35 Coupe path is a longer two-piece 3S80A shaft with a center bearing, consistent with the G35 Coupe's official 112.2-inch wheelbase. Exclude the 2009 350Z Roadster, every G35 Sedan, G35x/AWD, V36 G35/G37, 370Z, non-US/RHD assumptions, transmission or differential swaps, custom-length shafts and unsupported cross-model interchange.

Begin with both 17-character VINs and build dates. Verify 350Z versus G35 Coupe, Coupe versus Roadster, factory RWD, automatic versus six-speed manual, readable installed or donor service identity, transmission output/sleeve interface, differential companion-flange pilot and four-bolt pattern, actual spider-to-spider dimensions, tube diameter/construction, balance marks and every included part. The 350Z and G35 Coupe can share transmission or differential families without sharing propeller shafts: the 350Z uses one-piece CFRP 37000-CD000/CD100, while the longer G35 Coupe uses two sections, a center bearing and AM610/AM600 identities. The Infiniti catalog exposes some same-number RWD Sedan option text, but this page does not authorize Sedan donors because live listings commonly confuse Sedan and Coupe; require Coupe-specific donor evidence or a current VIN lookup. Do not apply aftermarket pages' 2008 G35 Coupe wording to the US 2003-2007 V35 Coupe scope. Factory shaft lengths are identification checkpoints measured spider-to-spider, not shipping-box dimensions or permission to order by overall tape measurement alone. A bare 350Z shaft does not automatically include rear flange bolts/nuts, transmission seal, fluid, exhaust hardware or protectors. A G35 sale may omit the center bearing, upper/lower brackets, center-joint hardware, rear flange hardware, shields or balance hardware unless itemized. On a used 350Z CFRP shaft, reject a dropped part and inspect for dents, cracks, chipping/bending, bond/seal peeling, lost yoke-to-tube clearance, abrasion and missing balance marks; the factory joints are non-disassemblable. On a used G35 two-piece assembly, additionally inspect both tubes, center bearing noise/play and rubber deterioration, bracket distortion, center-flange alignment marks, staked/lock hardware, splines, seal surface and all joints. Factory manuals require zero journal axial play and year-specific runout limits, so use the exact service manual and qualified driveline measurement rather than a seller's spins free claim. Preserve matching/balance orientation and replace non-reusable hardware as the exact procedure directs. After installation, check clearances, leaks and vibration safely; a high-speed driveline is not a place for improvised welding, straightening or unverified balancing.
OEM numbers
350Z complete one-piece CFRP shaft identities are 37000-CD000 for six-speed manual and 37000-CD100 for five-speed automatic. Factory 350Z specifications identify model 2S80A CFRP, sleeve-type transmission coupling, two non-disassemblable shell-bearing joints, 85.0 mm tube diameter and spider-to-spider length 1321 mm (52.007 in) manual versus 1283 mm (50.512 in) automatic. G35 Coupe complete two-piece shaft identities are 37000-AM610 for six-speed manual and 37000-AM600 for five-speed automatic. Factory G35 Coupe specifications identify model 3S80A, sleeve-type transmission coupling, three joints, 82.6 mm tube diameter, first-section spider-to-spider length 619 mm (24.37 in) manual versus 581 mm (22.87 in) automatic, and a common second-section length of 902 mm (35.51 in). G35 RWD support identities include center-bearing kit 37521-6P029manual upper bracket 37511-70T00 and lower bracket 37512-4P010 -> 37512-4P011and automatic upper bracket 37511-0P000 and lower bracket 37512-23U00. Checked final-flange hardware families include bolts 37120-AL600 -> 37120-AL60A and nuts 37171-AL600 -> 37171-AL60A. The G35 catalog additionally exposes production-dependent six-fastener families 37120-CG200 or 37120-CG205 -> 37120-CG20A and 37171-7S000 or 37171-0P000 -> 37171-7S00A, center-bearing bracket nuts 01225-00062 and balance clamp 01553-01A50resolve the exact VIN diagram rather than treating every listed fastener as one kit. Aftermarket manufacturer references checked are Driveshaft Shop G35 manual aluminum SKU 610101INSH1, automatic aluminum 610102INSH4-A and manual carbon-fiber 610103INSH1-C.Supersession
No checked formal successor was exposed for complete 350Z shafts 37000-CD000/37000-CD100 or G35 Coupe shafts 37000-AM600/37000-AM610; the official/dealer paths currently describe the 350Z identities as discontinued and the Infiniti path as backordered, so no replacement number is invented. Explicit hardware relationships are 37120-AL600 -> 37120-AL60A, 37171-AL600 -> 37171-AL60A, 37512-4P010 -> 37512-4P011, 37120-CG200 or 37120-CG205 -> 37120-CG20A, and 37171-7S000 or 37171-0P000 -> 37171-7S00A. These fastener/support changes do not supersede the complete shaft and do not prove 350Z/G35, Coupe/Roadster, manual/automatic, RWD/AWD, one-piece/two-piece or OEM/aftermarket interchange.
Fitment

Aftermarket options
Transmission- and model-specific one-piece aluminum or carbon-fiber replacements exist, but they are not generic 350Z/G35 shafts. Checked paths include Z1's configurable 350Z one-piece aluminum shaft and Driveshaft Shop G35 Coupe manual aluminum 610101/INSH1, automatic aluminum 610102/INSH4-A and manual carbon-fiber 610103/INSH1-C. Require the exact recipient model/body/transmission, manufacturer part number, published flange/spline interfaces, tube diameter, measured length, included adapters and hardware, balance method/speed, power/speed limitations, clearance requirements, serviceable-joint statement, lead time, warranty and return terms. A one-piece G35 conversion removes the factory center-bearing arrangement and changes construction/NVH; it is a modification, not an OEM supersession. Inspect transmission, differential and subframe mounts and full-rotation clearance because a larger tube or drivetrain movement can create contact. Do not assume a seller's 2003-2008 G35 Coupe label proves a US 2008 G35 Coupe application, and do not treat universal/custom shafts, G35 Sedan, G35x/AWD, G37/370Z or swap products as factory-equivalent choices.
Before you buy
for US/LHD factory-RWD 2003-2008 350Z Coupe, 2004-2008 350Z Roadster and 2003-2007 G35 Coupe only. The 350Z uses one-piece CFRP manual 37000-CD000 or automatic 37000-CD100; the longer G35 Coupe uses a two-piece center-bearing manual 37000-AM610 or automatic 37000-AM600. Verify both VINs, transmission, readable identity, spider-to-spider dimensions, spline/flange interfaces, construction, balance/condition and exact contents. Do not infer 350Z/G35, Coupe/Roadster, automatic/manual, Sedan/Coupe or RWD/AWD interchange. Reject dropped or damaged shafts and use the exact factory inspection/installation procedure.
